Yolanda Alvarez Gallego is Project Adviser in the Industry unit at the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) of the European Commission. Shemonitors and manages a portfolio of high complexity Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe R&I projects, mainly in the field of processing of primary and secondary raw materials. Chemist by background, she has over 19 years of experience in research and innovation. In March 2019 she joined the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EASME) of the European Commission, as Project Adviser in the raw materials sector. Prior to joining the EU institutions in March 2019, she had been working since 2001 as research scientist and project manager in different research institutes across Europe. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Valladolid (Spain).
