Karen Batt is the Head of International at Standards Australiaand is responsible for leading the organisation’s international operations. The role covers the breadth of international activities for SA including management of SA’s membership of ISO and IEC, its engagement in regional fora, and the oversight of various contracts with Australian Government, Regional and International partners focussed on trade enablement and capacity building work programs. Maintaining relationships with other National and Regional Standards Bodies is also a key focus of her role. Karenwas elected a member of the ISO Technical Management Board (TMB) for the 2021 –2023 term.Karen holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) from University of New South Wales and completed a Masters in International Relations at Victoria University in Wellington in 2009.
